Охарактеризовано його статутні документи та ставлення до нього місцевої влади. З'ясовано рівень матеріального забезпечення членів цієї організації, а також методи і форми їх роботи. Обраховано чисельність філій «Просвіти» в краї, звернуто увагу на її співпрацю з іншими культурно-освітніми організаціями.; The article highlights and analyzes the main aspects of the «Prosvita» organization activities in Volyn under the conditions of German occupation. The emphasis is laid on the statutory documents of the organization activities. It has been revealed that according to them, the organization had to promote significant work in cultural and educational sphere which implied the creation of numerous drama circles, opening reading rooms and libraries, holding festive events. The article considers the occupation administration attitude to the «Prosvita» activities, the amount of the material support for the members of this society, methods and forms of their work. The key findings of the study prove that the occupation authorities tried to control the activities of this organization, using it to spread anti-Soviet and pro-German propaganda. During 1941–1944 the «Prosvitas» centers acted most actively in Rivne region, Kostopil region and Lyuboml. The study provides information about the number of branches of this organization in the region and their cooperation with other cultural and educational societies 2018-01-01T00:00:00Z
