In the current context of rapid digital technology development, graphic design is undergoing significant transformations that affect both the design processes and the nature of visual communication as a whole. Information and technological processes are becoming a key factor in the formation of new design practices, expanding the toolkit of professionals and changing approaches to the creation, distribution, and perception of visual content. Contemporary graphic design is increasingly integrated with digital environments, software products, multimedia platforms, and interactive technologies. Purpose of the article is to provide a comprehensive analysis of contemporary information and technological processes in graphic design, to identify key innovations, and to outline the prospects for their further development in the context of the digital transformation of visual communications. The article is aimed at systematizing innovative technologies and design practices, determining their impact on the formation of the visual and figurative language of graphic design, as well as substantiating the significance of integrating technological and artistic approaches in professional practice and in the educational training of the contemporary designer. Methods. The research methodology is based on a combination of general scientific and specialized methods. Analysis and synthesis are applied to generalize theoretical approaches, the comparative method is used to compare traditional and digital design practices, and the systems approach is employed to consider graphic design as an integral dynamic system. In addition, structural and functional analysis, classification, and generalization methods are used, as well as an interdisciplinary approach to take into account the connections between graphic design, digital technologies, and the contemporary cultural context. Results. The article examines the impact of innovative information technologies on the professional activities of designers, as well as identifies the prospects for the development of the graphic design field in the context of globalization and digitalization. The prospects for further research are outlined, focusing on the development of interdisciplinary connections, the synthesis of classical artistic methods with contemporary digital technologies, and an orientation toward the interpretation and actualization of local cultural identity within a globalized information environment. The study presents tables on stylistic changes in multimedia design (using animation as an example) and on innovations and development prospects in graphic design. Conclusions. The study concludes that information and technological processes are a key factor in the development of contemporary graphic design, as they transform both instrumental and conceptual approaches to visual communication. Digitalization, multimedia integration, the development of web and UX/UI design, as well as the application of 3D, AR/VR, and artificial intelligence expand the artistic and functional capabilities of design solutions. At the same time, issues of stylistic unification, preservation of authorial individuality, and protection of intellectual property become increasingly relevant. The prospects of the field are associated with interdisciplinary integration, the combination of traditional and digital practices, orientation toward the local cultural context, and the renewal of professional and educational training for designers. |
