Голодомор: свідчення про трагедію очевидців (за матеріалами Черкаської області)

Abstract

У статті публікується усний історичний наратив, присвячений Голодомору на Черкащині, зібраний Історико-соціологічним центром «Черкащина крізь призму усної історії» Черкаського державного технологічного університету. У запропонованих до публікації спогадах відтворено картини життя та висвітлено особисту позицію їх авторів до влади, їхнє бачення причин та наслідків голоду , характеризуються окремі події та особи.

In the article an oral historical narrative, devoted to the Holodomor in Cherkasy region, collected by the Historical and Sociological Center «Cherkasshchyna through the prism of oral history» of Cherkasy State Technological University, is published. In the proposed memoirs the pictures of life are reproduced and the personal position of their authors to power, the causes and consequences of the 1932–1933 famine is highlighted. The separate events and individuals are characterized. The analysis of the above-mentioned memoirs suggests that eyewitness testimonies, along with official sources, are a valuable source of research on the Holodomor, which provides an opportunity to establish a coherent picture of the events of 1932–1933, helps to comprehend the past and understand the present
