Abstract: | The paper proposes an information technology for robust parameter design of eddy current probes with increased signal-to-noise ratio and low signal variance due to the presence of interfering factors. It is based on Taguchi optimization using design of experiments created on orthogonal arrays and application of the Taguchi quality loss function with consideration of the “larger is better" property. Confirmation numerical experiments are performed. On a specific example, the statistical significance of the influence of the design and operating parameters of the probe on the signal characteristics was established using ANOVA analysis. |
